With your partner, read and annotate "P.I.M.P" lyrics by 50 Cent (see page 87 in your book)
mark the text and comment in the margin for denigrating/misogynistic (D/M) statements about women and statements that glorify pimps (GP). Be sure to add your reactions in the margins.
Write a paragraph (of your own) in which you summarize 50 Cent's portrayal of women and pimps, then state your opinion about the song lyrics in regards to its portrayal of women using at least two pieces of textual evidence with elaboration to support your opinion.
Staple your paragraph to the song lyrics and turn in before the end of the period. Or, you may write your paragraph on the back of the handout.
